Toronto is weird. I'm not sure I like it anymore, and I don't know why, isn't that sad? This will partly be because Matthew's so far away and no here to 'enjoy' it all with me; partly because I'm still jetlagged in an odd Friday-night-is-for-falling-asleep-at-9pm kind of way; partly because my mother is driving me UP THE FUCKING WALL though I think mum's driving me UP THE FUCKING WALL as much because of 1 and 2 as because she's very adept at doing so and frequently appears to go out of her way to do the mental equivalent of a strip search by a burlier prison guard named Walt or a stage coach robbery in which my rationality and happy thoughts take the place of jewels and linen finery. Three more days and I'll have my darling hunchmonk with me again, but it's Three Days away. I may have taken a crowbar to my own head by that point.

It will be better when he's got here. We're planning on heading down to New York - irresponsible hijinx or whooo! jet-setter extravaganza, you tell me - on the 26th. I have every faith it will be thoroughly awesome; neither of us have gone before and we'll only be in town for about twenty-eight hours, but how often can you say, Yeah nothing in Toronto took our fancy, so we just decided to swing down for New York for dinner.. I thought so.
